The mission of Jesus’ church is to make disciples who make disciples, and plant churches that plant churches. Church planting is not only a natural result of faithful disciple-making, but it’s the most effective and sustainable way to make, mature, and multiply disciples (Acts 14:21-23; see also Why Plant Churches). We know we can’t do this alone.  Jesus doesn’t intend us to do this alone.  In partnership with the Acts 29 US Southeast Network and the EFCA Southeast District we’re working to catalyze gospel-centered church planting in the Carolinas, the Southeast, and beyond.  To this end, Riverside Community Church has developed Church Planting Residency as a 1 to 1.5 year program designed to equip aspiring church planters with the theological knowledge, pastoral training, ministry experience, leadership coaching, and logistical support needed to plant disciple-making, church-planting churches in our region and world.
